wow. i keep looking for happy endings and they never happen. silly me. Black Bolt and Vulcan's mano-a-mano results in both of them dead - probably (this is the Marvel Universe after all). one thing we can be sure of, is that Gladiator will be the new Shi'ar boss. here's hoping he doesn't start another war after what happened to Lilandra; he should go after the Raptors (likely the next cosmic crossover, eh DnA?). what's next for the cast of characters? fingers crossed, no one gets canceled (Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova). Alex and Lorna should go back home to Earth though, and be with family again. one thing good out of this, is we get rid of the annoying Vulcan for awhile (why does he talk like an American douchebag? somebody probably edited out "like" from the dialogue).

i think the collected trade would really be worth getting, as i feel this was a stronger crossover, story and art-wise than its Annihilation predecessors.

oh hell, why not?

with the current X-brain trust going retro by digging into past playbooks (Legacy Virus, Archangel, Hellfire Club, Shadow King, etc), why not The Right? Cameron Hodge already made an appearance.

with past issues also hinting of a future storyline with Magik (whose presence practically negated my love for Uncanny X-Men #303), we could be seeing the lovable demons S'ym and N'astirh soon. and don't forget Mojo, why don'tcha? and the X-babies! and the Thieves Guild! and the Mutant Liberation Front!

plus, we're waiting for Kitty Pryde to be resurrected so Peter won't go off the deep end again!!!

and its an annoying cliffhanger. after years of having the Legacy Virus (the comic book equivalent of AIDS) dangle over the heads of mutants everywhere, Colossus sacrificed himself for a cure. and that was that.

Colossus has since returned from the dead (biiiiig surprise). does it follow that the virus will have to make its own inevitable comeback?

geeez, Luis Guzman! Marvel revived Bastion, and Bastion revived a bunch of past no-good'ers: Graydon Creed, Cameron Hodge, Stephen Lang, and Bolivar Trask.

we don't know why X-23 was even created. oh yeah, that's right; we need more durable clawed psychopaths and the Wolverine type has always been a cash cow. so what if the X-Men already has one?

i think this series was just an excuse to exercise one's id on seeing more females get more asskicking time. just like the intent of this post. hoooooahhhh!
