Gotham City is like a cross between 2004-2006 Baghdad and 1990s Mogadishu - they should just relocate the people and wipe it off the map (didn't they try once to boot it out of the US during that earthquake crossover?). what the hell. why. what.

i'm blabbering like an idiot. Bruce, heelllllp!!!!

Dick hitting on a bigger dick

ok, ok, the title was way out of line ...

a souped-up, or should we say Suped-up Batman lets the power get to his head, a cliche as he likens it, and goes wild in the dispensing of justice in the world. everything's black and white, when he used to operate in shades of gray.

and he gets a boot in his smug face courtesy of his former ward.

of course, Dick only gets so far before The SuperBat administers a beatdown worthy of Chris Brown (k-ching!).


by the way, isn't it when you say "pick someone your own size", it means you're on equal terms with the person you're saying it to, because that person was bullying somebody smaller?

if so, Dick is wrong because Bruce is a bigger dick than him. am i right or am i right?

why dick should be bats

at the beginning of Batman R.I.P., we were treated to this:

with the hype leading up to the launch, fanboys started speculating who would wear the mantle of the Bat if the powers that be sidelines Bruce Wayne (c'mon, will there never be a Batman?). now that Batman R.I.P. has concluded (with much gnashing of teeth, i assume), the world is bereft of a Batman (this just after ruling the box office last summer). so who's gonna put the hurt on the Bat rogues gallery?

well, ok, that was just cheating - a mere hallucination triggered by the always-ambivalent Harvey Dent. but still.

the stigma of being the first (heeehee) Boy Wonder still shadows Nightwing, but he has paid his dues after all these years. he's the backup plan when the JLA goes down, and he doesn't have the hangups of his mentor. just tell he won't be growling intelligibly a-la Christian Bale. and if this is just one long big gimmick (Bruce Wayne was hiding in his head all along?), it would be intriguing to see Nightwing wear the cape for awhile.

let's get this straight - the Mighty Avengers have taken down the time-tossed Invaders minus Subby who conveniently escaped. of course, these WW2 heroes (especially Cap) are a little strung out. but why are the New Avengers still talking like its still the Civil War? oh well, let another round of Avenger vs. Avenger begin. by the way, the shot below is as incorrect as can be. there's no subway entrance with that view of the Brooklyn Bridge. shame on you, Steve Sadowski.
