Del Toro is Strange
yes, the Hellboy director is taking on more weird stuff soon, with his decision to put himself first in the line to bring a Dr. Strange movie to the light of day.
He did say he might tone down on a few things, like the suit fer'instance. we may not hear Stephen yell "by the hoary hosts of Haggoth!" but we should be able to catch a glimpse of Clea, or the bodacious Night Nurse (below):
well, they could just do some shortcuts and just name the Night Nurse "Clea". any bets on who'll be wearing the nurse uniform? Kate Beckinsale? Kate Beckinsale? Kate Beckinsale?
Truthfully, Dr, Strange and Del Toro are a pretty good fit, what with the sorcery involved in the character and Del Toro's penchant for that kind of world.
One thing Del Toro would have to fight is the relative unfamiliarity non-comic book audiences would have with the character. Then again, Hellboy did great business in 2004 and the sequel will be on the battlefield this summer, so Del Toro is probably unfazed about facing that hurdle.
